Brittany is a compassionate and intuitive breathwork practitioner with experience holding both 1:1 sessions and facilitating group breath work events. Before moving to Nelson Brittany practiced in Australia using modalities such as breath work, cold exposure, meditation, cacao ceremonies, and energy healing.
She combines the use of pranayamic and transformational breath work techniques to facilitate sessions that focus on the client’s intention for the session. She has a deep interest in trauma-informed breath work, helping clients regulate their nervous system, feel safe in their body, and process stored emotions that may be holding them back in life or presenting as physical ailments.
Transformational Breathwork is a practice where the client consciously manipulates their breath to enter the subconscious mind and process emotions or feelings that have been unexpressed. It allows the client to move through these emotions in a safe and controlled environment with the facilitation of a practitioner, knowing they are held and supported.
Brittany is trained in energy healing with a background of Level 2 Usui Reiki which is integrated into the breath work sessions.
Brittany found her passion for breathwork through her own healing journey as she experienced the life-changing effects of this practice. It is her mission to share the incredible benefits of this somatic practice and to encourage people that they are their own healers and have the power to transform their lives by connecting deeper to themselves.

Keegan is a qualified breathwork and meditation practitioner from Brisbane, Australia who is trained in various styles of breathwork. Mainly practicing and teaching a transformational conscious connected style breathwork, as well as multiple other styles.
This style of breathwork is hugely transformational and is an incredible tool that allows us complete emotional cycles, process and heal trauma, increase mental focus and many other physical benefits also.
Breathwork is a powerful somatic practice. It is the act of bringing awareness to the breath and manipulating the amount of oxygen entering the body and CO2 exiting the body. This allows us to regulate our state, connect with self and create mind, body and heart coherence.
Breathwork and meditation has and continues to create huge transformative shifts in his own personal journey and is something that he is so incredibly passionate about for that reason. Keegan’s passion is creating safe spaces for humans to express and move stagnant emption, dive into the subconscious mind and come home to self.
At the end of 2022 Keegan created his own business ‘In Between’ and before landing here in Nelson at the end of 2023 was running regular workshops over in Australia. These workshops were not only sharing multiple styles of breathwork but also meditation, sound healing, cacao ceremonies, cold exposure, connection practices and other somatic modalities.

Janel’s lifelong pattern of seeking physically and mentally demanding experiences is exactly what led her to her career as a Registered Massage Therapist. Prior to Janel’s education at The West Coast College of Massage Therapy, she was involved in varsity cross-country running for York University in Toronto and worked the arduous job as a tree planter for eight years. During her time as a tree planter, she explored alternative careers including international education, support for homeschooled students, chocolate making and teaching intermediate yoga.
Inspired by the active community, Janel began her own business, The Little Spruce Massage, on Vancouver Island in 2021. She then took to the woods and treated tree planters during the 2022 season with Torrent Silviculture.
In her practice, Janel is passionate and determined to explore exactly what is limiting her patients, causing pain and discomfort and will not waste any time in manipulating tissues and getting to the source. She enjoys problem solving any patient’s needs and especially finds an interest in treating endurance athletes.
Janel has been all over Canada and is now on the steady hunt for a place to call home. Nelson’s small and active community is what brought her here, and she is hoping to insert herself into the acro-yoga community and hike as often as possible. When she is not working, she is still using her hands. She enjoys gardening, wood working, foraging, playing guitar, making crafts, going to the gym and running around with her dog, Muskie.

I’m Anja and a dedicated Trauma Integration (IoPT) and Jikiden Reiki practitioner from Germany, supporting individuals, couples and families with online and in person sessions.
My client-centred and cause-oriented approach combines trauma integration with nature energy healing (Reiki). This promotes relief from acute or chronic mental and physical ailments through uncovering the unconcious root cause of the symptoms, deep restorative relaxation, nervous system & emotional regulation, release of deeply stored stress, suppressed feelings and pain.
I came to my offering through my own healing journey. Reiki and IoPT have been after years of exploration the two modalities that brought a profound relief and shift in my life. It feels like my purpose to share what helped me the most with others and I find a lot of joy in supporting my clients. I take great care to ensure that the room is as safe and comfortable as possible for you.
IoPT (Identityoriented Psychotrauma Theory) and its method, the Intention Method, can support anyone who feels that their life does not fully reflect their values, yearnings, and potential. In particular, IoPT helps to understand, process and integrate the often-overlooked impact that early childhood and transgenerational trauma has on our identity, our relationships, our mental and physical health, our ability to know and get what we want, and on our capacity to express ourselves in life-affirming ways.
Jikiden Reiki is the authentic Japanese Reiki before any Western influence. It is deeply connected with Japanese culture, the love and reverence for nature and the simplicity and dedication of traditional practice. Reiki means ‘universal life force energy’ or ‘nature energy’ and is a completely natural, safe and gentle hands on energy healing technique that helps us to find deep relaxation, rest and balance and to reconnect with our natural essence. It improves our body, mind and spirit through strengthening our innate self-healing abilities.
For more information please see the service page “Jikiden Reiki”.

“I have done several very profound self-encounters with Anja, followed by some wonderful Reiki to close the session and integrate the work, which I have really enjoyed. Each session has been a generous space of gentle care and support at every step, at a particularly challenging time. I highly recommend her work. Thank you Anja!” Clare M.
“I have been able to uncover parts of myself that were needed for integration while working with Anja. She is skilled and is able to offer the level of compassion that I need to help me open. Thank you Anja. This work is unique and helps to facilitate re wiring deep subconscious patterns. I recommend it!” Tonya D.
“I luckily found Anja at my time of crisis. She was caring, kind, and intuitive to my needs when I had a hard time expressing how I was feeling. When she practised Reiki on me I released a lot of stored emotions from my body. When our session was over I felt I could finally relax after being in an intense fight or flight state. I am grateful that Anja guided me toward my own healing journey. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking out REAL healing.” Mekenzie C.
“I’m very grateful to have Reiki and Anja in my life! She was recommended by a friend during a time when I needed relaxation and healing. I didn’t really know what to expect, but was happily surprised at how deeply relaxing and healing the experience was! It was a deeper release than any massage I’ve had. In just one session, it had a profound effect on my overall well-being, which unfolded over several weeks. I experienced a surprising release of emotion during the process and Anja took time to talk through it with me afterwards. She has a calm sense of open curiosity which allows the experience to unfold very naturally. The entire experience over several sessions has been gentle, and non-invasive, yet profoundly powerful and effective healing on every level.” Beth H.
Warmly welcome!
