Jikiden Reiki is the authentic Japanese Reiki before any Western influence. It is a completely natural, safe, and very effective energy healing method to improve the well-being of body and mind. Reiki means ‘universal life force energy’ or ‘nature energy’ and is a gentle hands on energy healing technique that helps us to find deep relaxation, rest and balance in order for healing to occur on all levels - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Reiki strengthens our own innate self-healing abilities and allows us to reconnect to our natural essence, live more in the present and from a place of inner peace and gratitude.

Self-encounter (IoPT)

A self-encounter is an opportunity to encounter yourself in a way you might never have before. All you will bring to the session is an intention that you have for yourself. This can be a sentence, question or just a few words. The intention is formulated around the question "What do you want for yourself?" A self-encounter is an opportunity to encounter yourself in a way you might never have before. All you will bring to the session is an intention that you have for yourself. This can be a sentence, question or just a few words. The intention is formulated around the question "What do you want for yourself?" You can explore a problem you are struggling with, a specific question you have about yourself or simply something that you want. We will then uncover together what is at the root of your problem by exploring your unconscious emotional inner conflict that prevents the change that you desire. A self-encounter is a deep journey into yourself, where you get the chance to understand yourself better, re-connect with your healthy self, free yourself from illusions, constraints and heavy burden in order to make a real shift and live a good life.

The intention-method is based on IoPT (Identity-oriented Psychotrauma Theory) as developed by Prof. Dr. Franz Ruppert from Germany over the last thirty years. It is derived from Family Constellation work and focuses on the impact of early trauma on a person's identity development. Trauma causes our identity to split and to suppress parts of ourselves. The intention method is a safe and profoundly effective method of working with those splits that are the result of early trauma. With the resonance technique we are able to explore your intention through accessing unconscious information, sensations, feelings and implicit memories that inform your intention and take part in the trauma integration process which ultimately leads you to live more and more from your healthy and authentic self.

Body Talk is a unique holistic healing modality that helps re-establish the lines of communication within the body. It is a language of health care where the consciousness of the individual gets to direct the session into areas of conflict within the mind. If you look at an optimal healthy body, each of the systems, down to the cells and atoms are in constant communication with each other. When these lines of communication become compromised or disconnected through the exposure of the environmental, emotional or physical stressors, the results can lead to a decline in health and well being physically, emotionally and/or mentally. Body Talk recognizes the interrelationships within the body/mind and works to achieve healthy communication among all the body systems. Book your session today and reconnect your body's lines of communication!

Janel’s lifelong pattern of seeking physically and mentally demanding experiences is exactly what led her to her career as a Registered Massage Therapist. Prior to Janel’s education at The West Coast College of Massage Therapy, she was involved in varsity cross-country running for York University in Toronto and worked the arduous job as a tree planter for eight years. During her time as a tree planter, she explored alternative careers including international education, support for homeschooled students, chocolate making and teaching intermediate yoga.

Inspired by the active community, Janel began her own business, The Little Spruce Massage, on Vancouver Island in 2021. She then took to the woods and treated tree planters during the 2022 season with Torrent Silviculture.

In her practice, Janel is passionate and determined to explore exactly what is limiting her patients, causing pain and discomfort and will not waste any time in manipulating tissues and getting to the source. She enjoys problem solving any patient’s needs and especially finds an interest in treating endurance athletes.

Janel has been all over Canada and is now on the steady hunt for a place to call home. Nelson’s small and active community is what brought her here, and she is hoping to insert herself into the acro-yoga community and hike as often as possible. When she is not working, she is still using her hands. She enjoys gardening, wood working, foraging, playing guitar, making crafts, going to the gym and running around with her dog, Muskie.

Warmly welcome!

I’m Anja and a dedicated Trauma Integration (IoPT) and Jikiden Reiki practitioner from Germany, supporting individuals, couples and families with online and in person sessions.

My client-centred and cause-oriented approach combines trauma integration with nature energy healing (Reiki). This promotes relief from acute or chronic mental and physical ailments through uncovering the unconcious root cause of the symptoms, deep restorative relaxation, nervous system & emotional regulation, release of deeply stored stress, suppressed feelings and pain.

I came to my offering through my own healing journey. Reiki and IoPT have been after years of exploration the two modalities that brought a profound relief and shift in my life. It feels like my purpose to share what helped me the most with others and I find a lot of joy in supporting my clients. I take great care to ensure that the room is as safe and comfortable as possible for you.

IoPT (Identityoriented Psychotrauma Theory) and its method, the Intention Method, can support anyone who feels that their life does not fully reflect their values, yearnings, and potential. In particular, IoPT helps to understand, process and integrate the often-overlooked impact that early childhood and transgenerational trauma has on our identity, our relationships, our mental and physical health, our ability to know and get what we want, and on our capacity to express ourselves in life-affirming ways.

Jikiden Reiki is the authentic Japanese Reiki before any Western influence. It is deeply connected with Japanese culture, the love and reverence for nature and the simplicity and dedication of traditional practice. Reiki means ‘universal life force energy’ or ‘nature energy’ and is a completely natural, safe and gentle hands on energy healing technique that helps us to find deep relaxation, rest and balance and to reconnect with our natural essence. It improves our body, mind and spirit through strengthening our innate self-healing abilities.

For more information please see the service page “Jikiden Reiki”.

Qualifications

  • 2 years International Advanced IoPT Training with IoPT Norway – Institute for Traumawork
  • 1-year International IoPT Training with Vivian Broughton UK – Psychotrauma practitioner specialized in IoPT (originally Gestalt psychotherapist)
  • Several hundred hours participation in IoPT online events (seminars, workshops, training, congress) with Prof. Dr. Franz Ruppert (founder of IoPT)
  • 5 years of Jikiden Reiki Practise (Shoden & Okuden)
  • 2 years of Western Reiki Practise (Shoden & Okuden)

“I have done several very profound self-encounters with Anja, followed by some wonderful Reiki to close the session and integrate the work, which I have really enjoyed. Each session has been a generous space of gentle care and support at every step, at a particularly challenging time. I highly recommend her work. Thank you Anja!” Clare M.

“I have been able to uncover parts of myself that were needed for integration while working with Anja. She is skilled and is able to offer the level of compassion that I need to help me open. Thank you Anja. This work is unique and helps to facilitate re wiring deep subconscious patterns. I recommend it!” Tonya D.

“I luckily found Anja at my time of crisis. She was caring, kind, and intuitive to my needs when I had a hard time expressing how I was feeling. When she practised Reiki on me I released a lot of stored emotions from my body. When our session was over I felt I could finally relax after being in an intense fight or flight state. I am grateful that Anja guided me toward my own healing journey. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking out REAL healing.” Mekenzie C.

“I’m very grateful to have Reiki and Anja in my life! She was recommended by a friend during a time when I needed relaxation and healing. I didn’t really know what to expect, but was happily surprised at how deeply relaxing and healing the experience was! It was a deeper release than any massage I’ve had. In just one session, it had a profound effect on my overall well-being, which unfolded over several weeks. I experienced a surprising release of emotion during the process and Anja took time to talk through it with me afterwards. She has a calm sense of open curiosity which allows the experience to unfold very naturally. The entire experience over several sessions has been gentle, and non-invasive, yet profoundly powerful and effective healing on every level.” Beth H.

Heal from the Inside Out.

BodyTalk is a revolutionary form of alternative healthcare. It encompasses Western Medical expertise, the energy dynamics of Acupuncture, Osteopathic and Chiropractic, Philosophy, the clinical findings of Applied Kinesiology, and the insights of modern Physics and Mathematics. Bodytalk is an astonishingly simple and effective form of therapy that allows the body’s energy systems to be synchronized so they can operate as nature intended. When a body is operating at its optimal level, each system, cell, and atom is always in constant communication with each other. Through exposure to the stresses of day-to-day life, these lines of communication can become compromised, which can lead to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental health.

While BodyTalk does not diagnose or treat specific ailments, clinical experience has shown that once their overall systems are balanced through BodyTalk, clients have exhibited improvement within their health.

This simple, safe and effective method is non-invasive and has been known to help with numerous symptoms, illnesses and diseases including those in the areas of:

*Arthritis

*Sport’s Injuries

*Sport’s Performance

*Emotional Disorders

*Learning Disorders

*Endocrine Disorders

*Chronic Fatigue

*Headaches

*Phobias

*Chronic Pain

*Stress

*Viruses

*Infections

Therapeutic Touch® is a contemporary interpretation of several ancient healing practices. It is an intentionally directed process of energy exchange during which the practitioner uses the hands as a focus to facilitate the healing process. The practitioner may apply light touch with permission during the Therapeutic Touch® session or may simply move his/her hands a few inches from the body.

Therapeutic Touch® is a complementary therapy that may be used in conjunction with conventional medicine.

Dolores Krieger, Ph.D., R.N. (Professor Emerita of New York University) and her mentor Dora Kunz developed Therapeutic Touch in the early 1970s. It is now practiced by thousands of healthcare professionals, holistic health practitioners and lay people in 75 countries throughout the world. Numerous colleges and universities teach it in their graduate and undergraduate nursing programs. Therapeutic Touch is a scientifically based practice, including at least 15 doctoral dissertations, post-doctoral studies, and innumerable master’s theses. U.S. National Institute of Health has funded Therapeutic Touch research.

This is safe, gentle, and non-invasive, practice facilitates healing through a conscious direction of energy with the intention of promoting well-being and healing in these areas:

*Deep Relaxation

*Decreased Stress

*Decreased Anxiety

*Decreased Pain

*Calmness, Peace, and Well-being

*Accelerated Healing

*Energy Balance Restored

*Healing Facilitated within the Body

Having been involved in athletics his entire life and playing soccer competitively, Anthony has had his fair share of sport related injuries. Requiring countless hours of massage as an athlete gave him a great respect for what a Massage Therapist can offer to anyone recovering from an injury. This appreciation for the profession lead him to enroll at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2015.

Anthony is passionate about providing the highest quality of care for everyone he works with. He enjoys educating his clients about their body and how they can speed their recovery and prevent further injuries from happening. He does this by recommending a home care routine consisting of stretching and exercise to compliment the individual goals of each client.

When Anthony is not in the clinic he spends his time in the gym trying new workouts, playing recreational soccer or enjoying a variety of activities in the beautiful outdoor environment.
